Inevitably, I find myself reading the latest posts for a topic of interest. They are at the bottom of the topic. To navigate elsewhere on the site (to another topic or forum) I return to the top of the page and use the breadcrumb.
For those who are unfamiliar with the term, here is an example of the breadcrumb:
O'Telescope → Application Support → Feature Suggestion Box
There are a few alternatives that may make this use case more convenient:
1) Move the breadcrumb into the top banner (so it is always in view)
2) Duplicate the breadcrumb somewhere in the page footer
3) Add a "back to top" link in the page footer. I know that Ctrl+Home wil do the same thing, but the link would help.
