3.0 To 3.1

I just now upgraded to 3.1 from 3.0.  After I filled in my sign-in ID as well as the new PSWD, I am getting the error: License Validation Error.  I re-checked both my sign-in ID and PSWD and they are ok.

I am not sure what PSWD you are referring to.

 

I would make sure that you are copying and pasting the entire 3.1 license key from the O'Telescope web site (in the 'my client area' screen) into BYE 3.1's Licence Key field and that you have entered your O'Telescope username correctly into the same form.  The username is case sensitive. 

 

I did that, per Guylain's instructions, and had no issues.

I have been getting about a 1% rate of error on new key validation.

 

I have fixed the issue and will be releasing 3.1.1 this weekend at the latest with a fix.

I will try again this coming Monday and let you know the results.  As for the PSWD; I should have said the License Key.  I used my SIGNIN ID as ID and made certain of the case sensitivity.  As for the License Key, I tried both "copying" the Key as well as "typing" it in.  Same results.

3.1.1 should be released with a fix by Monday for sure.

I have just released BYE 3.1.1 with a fix, all keys should validate now... fingers crossed.

I just noticed that I stopped receiving my daily update e-mails so decided to login and saw the migration to the new site (good job, BTW).  No problems downloading the new version, but i am confused why I didn't receive an e-mail with the change and release.  It makes me think I am not alone and there may be other forum users that don't realize you've released the upgrade.

The new site = new forum software and notification setting were not migrated, on the posts and threads content was migrated.

Okay, that makes sense.  Is there a way to post a general e-mail to all members of the forum?  It seems to me that not everybody got the memo and there might be a few that joined up and would be willing to upgrade when they see the new features.  Currently, there are only a few folks that have modified their notifications to follow the forums (i.e. 3 including me on the General Application).

I guess I could add to the pink'ish / red note (when not logged in ) that subscriptions were not migrated in addition to the reset password?

3.1.1 download and update all went without a hitch.  Total process took less than 5 minutes.
