Error during activation on wine

Hello, I'm trying to use backyard eos with wine on ubuntu 20.04. It installs without errors, but when it comes to the activations it gives me an error:" Value cannot be null. Parameter name: ptr".

Bye version is 3.2.0. I'm wondering if it there's a solution other than running the program into a vm(which works just fine, but i'd love to use it directly on linux)

BYE and BYN are Windows-only and are not designed to run directly on Linux.

If you get an error it is probably because you are not entering your key/identifier correctly.  This is 99.9% of the case where someone reports a key validation error.

 

Do not key in your key/identifier manually as this can easily lead to typographical errors.  The letter O looks deceivingly similar to the number 0 and the letter I like the number 1.

 

Always use cut&paste directly from the website "My Purchases -> Orders" to prevent any and all keying errors.

You'll need to go through the Forum Topics to learn which .NET Libraries are required.  (I don't believe Wine comes original with them...)

I installed the required libraries, but it didn't work. I guess I'll stick with the vm

Btw, if any user might be interested, I tried again yesterday and it let me insert my key for the activation, so this time it opened "correctly", but it doesn't recognize the camera or lets me open the options menu, but still this is an improvement
