No Live View on D780 and Out of Memory Fault

soktober

Question

Any advice on getting live view working on a D780?  In the Frame and Focus tab live view tab will not turn on live view on the camera.  I tried to see if there was a setting on the D780's menu that affected it, but cannot find any.

I am also consistently getting an Out of Memory error on the Frame and Focus tab if I try to if I try to move the Zoom Box off the center.  Image of the error attached.

Thank you for any suggestions.

After replying I did a quick search. You originally reported this a month ago and it appears as though the thread died.

You are using the RC with changes for the D780 and it connects but you have a problem with the focus box, which I recall had been fixed for other models. The developers never replied to your post on September 5th.

The log file you sent shows that you are taking still images in live view and that gives you a memory issue.

However, in your original post you claim live view is not working.

Can you please clarify?  Is it live view that is not working or snapping images in live view that is not working?

I can confirm, live view is not being activated or triggering any shots. For the test of the log file I sent, I hit ‘live view’ a couple times in the Frame and Focus tab just to get it on the log.  I then snapped an image (not from live view) to get the zoom box up to trigger the out of memory fault.
