nikon D200

Bakyardnikon not recognizing my D200, but works fine in DigiCamControl. switched cable and a firmware update. still not seeing it. included logfiles.

According to the log file BYN and the Nikon SDK do not see your camera.

2020-08-23 18:19:13,667 [Main] INFO  - Camera Not Found!  Make sure it's connected to the PC and turned ON

DigiCamControl and BYN use different libraries to control the camera, so it is possible that one can work and the other not work.

According to the Supported Cameras table, the D200 requires you to run BYN in Vista SP2 Compatibility Mode. Are you doing this?

yes have done the vista sp2 mode and all others listed. downloaded current firmware and also vista sp2 drivers. and switched multiple cables. I really want this to work.

Nobody has ever reported that doing a firmware update fixed a connectivity issue with BYN. The firmware update may force you to treat your D200 as a newer model camera when choosing which SDK to use.

Yea thought of that to, been up and down the list pulling in different drivers for different cameras, even moved over to another pc. Desktop and laptop are both windows 10 64bit. I know its not the cable because it works with camera using different software(digicamcontrol)

Looking at the log file you are using the "Nikon2015" in BYN.  While this should be the correct one for the D200, give the "Nikon" SDK a try when connecting you camera.

If you have been using DigiCamControl, which uses a different libraries, you may need to perform a Factory Reset on your Camera.  And then again set Camera to Manual Focus or other not Facial Recognition mode.

(Yes, you'll lose most of your Custom Settings, but as you've been struggling with this issue for a while, what have you to lose??)
