Want to disable browser notification prompt

When I visit the web site using the Edge browser, I get the following popup at the bottom of the screen. Is there any way to turn it off?

It is pretty annoying as it keeps coming back with every page refresh. I have done as much as I am allowed to disable notifications in my profile, but some are locked. In general I dislike notifications and try to disable them wherever I can.

There is nothing special the site does as far as I know.  I did report this to the platform vendor and said it was browser setting.  I have tried to reproduce this with Chrome, Opera, and the new chrome based Edge and I don't get these popups.  It seems to be with the original Edge (non chrome base)  browser only.  Is this the browser you use?

It is the browser that comes with Windows 10. I believe that this started happening with the last major Windows 10 release. I have spend a couple of hours trying to figure out how to disable it, but have not found any advice.

Ultimately I made the pop-up that was trying to get me to enable Notifications go away by enabling Notifications. While I really don't want Notifications this fixed my issue. I don't really know whether I have the legacy Edge browser or the new Edge browser, but I only use it for O'Telescope.com so I guess that I am OK.

That said, I do not have any web site notifications enabled in my OTelescope profile, so it seems like a bug that every page navigation popped up the prompt window that I previously posted. Though not a big issue.
