No control of Ioptron 25P mount

Backyard EOS connects to my Ioptron 25P mount but the directional controls do not work The do work with Sequence Generator Pro. Sounds like a buy to me?

Please start by telling us:

1. Version of BYE
2. Version of ASCOM

The issue does not appear to be related to the ASCOM Platform. BYE uses MoveAxis calls. It can be somewhat tricky to use only the axis rates that the driver supports. Some mounts, for example, can support any axis rate between 0 and 5 deg/sec. BYE handles these rates just fine. However, in the past BYE has had problems when a driver supports a list of discrete rates, like 16X sidereal, 64X sidereal, 5 deg/sec. etc.

This does not appear to have been addressed in v 3.2.0 RC6.

Version BYE is 3.1.16 Driver installed shown in the attachment. Is there a way to fix this?

Yes, it would require either an enhancement to BYE or an enhancement to the iOptron driver.

While you should upgrade to at least BYE 3.1.18, this will have no impact on your issue.

You could also use a different application to nudge your scope.

I have no immediate plan to work on the ASCOM nudge functionality.  Not out of desire, but because of lack of time due to increase workload (at my day job) as a result of COVID.

I am using SGP but it is pretty awkward....would be nice if this were fixed! The ability to center objects to take an image is an essential function.

Actually, there was a problem with the Celestron driver also. The scope did move with it, but was uncontrollable if set at above 2%.

If you're looking at centering object I recommend you download 3.2.0.RC from the pre-release section and use the platesolve feature instead for centering.

I normally use SGP for centering which works fine, but it was not applicable to the comet.
