EOS Ra won't save TIFF

I just got BYE Premium and my EOS Ra camera.  Using Win10Pro-64, Everything works except saving a TIFF image file.  I save the CR3 file OK to the PC, and I can get both CR3 and JPG saved to the PC, but not the TIFF.  Is the EOS Ra supposed to be able to save TIFF?

No, that will not work with any model with a CR3 file format, only those with CR2 file format.

The CR3 file formal is still a black box for many image converter tools.

Will DCRAW ever support CR3 raw image files? Hasn't it been discontinued by David Coffin?

LibRaw - the apparent successor to DCRaw - has support for CR3 (and conversion CR3-TIFF) in the version still in Beta.  (DSS is also waiting for that LibRAW to release from Beta...)

However, for AP Imaging purposes, TIFF is not a "Good Thing" as it cannot readily be Calibrated with Darks and Flats.

The recommended solution is to Convert from CR3 to DNG (which is still RAW non-Debayered data), and then feed that to DSS or PixInsight or whichever Program is next in your workflow.

Well, I had not thought about having to calibrate before debayering.  But with the Adobe DNG converter, I can calibrate lights with darks before the debayer.  Thanks.
