Question

After initial problems with the trial it has 'opened' up but only in night time red format (is this what you get on a trial ?)

when I click connect it asks to select the correct driver...is this via the application or other internet site ?

camera is 6D

hi, I have attempted a re-install after deleting the suite of by0 software. This is prevented advising already downloaded...only 1 allowed. In order to allow another go at trial into basket and check out , do you need a reset your end ?

As mentioned earlier you don't need to download again if you kept the original downloaded installer, you just need re-install again.

But, to answer your specific question.  You are allowed to unlimited download from the download section itself but you are only allowed one trial software key from store.  I suspect this is what you are trying to do in order to download again.  This is not the correct of re-downloading the software

If you need re-download the software click the "Download" menu option from the website top menu bar and download from there and use your existing software key during the install if it asks you for a key.

If you need to access your key again it is available online under "My Purchases -> Orders".

1) The default is red/night vision.  You need to hit the "light bulb / Night Vision" button in the upper right button bar.

2) everything is included in the application, for the 6D just select the default "CANON" drivers and it should work.

Regards.

Thanks for reply however..hitting the night vision button does change it to a lightbulb, but this doesn't give day vision, it remains on red.

where is the selection for default drivers ? if this is in the 'setting' button all that gives is an 'unhandled exception message with continue/quit options.

Is it possible the software requires re-loading ?

cheers

You have two choices for in the driver selection dialog Canon or Canon210. Neither is a default. You must choose one or the other. Canon210 is for very old cameras that are no longer supported by Canon but can be made to work with BYE. You should choose Canon since your 6D is a DIGIC V camera that is currently supported by Canon.

If the Daylight/Night Vision button says Daylight with a light bulb icon and your BYE window colors are not a white/gray/black color scheme then you can go to the Settings dialog, in the General area, and change the Daylight color to White.

If clicking on the Setting button causes an unhandled exception message then it is likely that you have non-standard permissions in your Windows Registry that are preventing BYE from accessing the area of the Registry where current settings values are stored. Which version of BYE are you using? The full version number is displayed on the title bar (across the top of the BYE main window). For example my copy of BYE reports "BackyardEOS 3.1.18 - RC11". Some Windows 10 users have suffered from incorrect permissions due to changes made by Windows Update. I do not know of a fix for these permission errors.

It sounds like you have executed the BackyardRED program.  It produces a Red Screen effect.

It is controlled / terminated by the little widget it places at the Top Center of the Screen.  Hover over that, and "X" out.

Hi again

After more time and looking at the responses, I still get BYE v3.1.17 trial loading in red format with no central cancel widget to hit. I did get the backyardRED main screen icon when I downloaded which does load the same red format screen.

So my version won't allow the night vision tab to change to daytime and press it more than once and the error 'structuremap error(binaryrivers commonskins.(skinplus)' appears

And connect to camera still asks me to select the correct camera driver with no help on where to do this

Brain is overheating....

Okay, this looks like a windows permission issue / or install issue.  Since you get a struturemap error I'm inclined to think this is an install gone bad.

Please re-install in a separate folder and try again.

Please keep us posted.

There is no Limitation of the number of times one Downloads the Software.

There is a Limit on the "Ordering" of "Trial Keys" - however your Original "Trial Key" (never post it onto the Forum) will work to "Validate" your Re-Installed BYE Software until the end of your 30-Day Trial Period.

If you are actually being Blocked from Downloading, look to your AntiVirus Software.
