Can you please provide the full version number?  Saying latest version is not sufficient as I found in a lot of cases when people say this they don't actually have the latest version.

Does it do this for only one image and all images that you try to load?  Also, when you drag that same image (from Windows Explorer) into BYE's image area, does it load?

Regards,

I got your email but there was no log file attached.  Please resend with the logfile attached.

To answer your question in the email, yes you need to take an initial picture before you can apply a mask.  A mask displays a semi transparent image on top on the current displayed image.

To learn how this feature works, you can take a tabletop Daytime Photo of an object/scene (with BYE or without - just load onto PC).  Then, connect BYE and set the DSLR using same Lens settings (Zoom and F/stop) pointing at same object, just slightly shifted or rotated (or both).  Load the 1st Image to the BYE Image Display, change to Mask mode, and take your 2nd shot.  BYE will display the Images overlaid (you control the opacity and rotation/orientation).

Then, you can minutely shift your DSLR and shoot again (out at night "shift DSLR" would actually be accomplished by moving the Mount via Hand Controller or ASCOM Mount Control).
