Connection issues intermittently

When I start the BYN software and hit connect it usually works fine. But sometimes it decides it will not connect (camera not found message) but eventually if I open and close the program enough it magically connects again. I am not sure why this happens but it is very annoying and time consuming. Is there any obvious so,ution to this? I am not a computer wiz by the way.

2 different cables, both with same issue.

i will be sure memory cards are blank next time.

You should also try a different USB port on your computer/laptop.  If this is a laptop and you have usb ports on both sides tyr one form the other side as they are most likely on different USB Bus inside your computer and this may actually make a difference.

When the camera is not connection... does Windows even see the camera?

Yes I have tried using both ports. Windows always recognizes the camera immediately but the BYN program sometimes will not connect.

Okay, I need more info... your comments are too general to help at this stage.

1. What camera model?
2. What version of BYN are yo using?
3. Which Nikon drivers are you choosing in BYN when connecting your camera?  Nikon or Nikon2015?

Have you tried replacing the USB cable with a cable that is known to be good? Also make sure that the memory card in the camera is empty (or nearly so).
