Will we see backyard CCD? (CCD for short ;-)

I'm a retired pro/studio owner/portrait photographer and have a couple EOS cameras around. But in starting out in astrophotography I've only done a couple test shots with these cameras and then seeing everyone upgrade to CCD cams. I ordered a couple myself. (ASI290mm and ASI071Mc-C)

I figured rather than spending money on EOS accessories, filters and sensor mods and BYE, then upgrading to CCD and spending again on new filter sizes, new software etc. Why not just spend where I will eventually want to end up?

The one bad thing about this idea is I love the demo of BYE. (Nice to see an attractive graphical interface and not the old school scientific small text interfaces of other astro software).  Now that I'm no longer using DSLR, I can't use BYE = (   tears!

Will you be making a generic CCD/CMOS version of your software that doesn't look for a DLSR upon startup?  I'm kinda forced to buy Sequence generator pro - when I'd really like to buy  BackyardCCD (if one existed). 

Is there one planned in the future?

What do you have to offer, this guy offered me a puppy and someone else offered to feed the puppy, LOL.

I'm still thinking about it.  I use CCDs too and I too would like to see and use BYC.

Any potential of BYCCD?  I recently bought a used ASI174 and have tried the recommended software for it.  Somewhat disappointing and not nearly as good as BYE.

I'm usually open to trying new things, but i love the workflow in BYEOS so much, that everytime i look at a CCD, I'm put off buying one because I don't want to use anything else to control it..
