BYN itself does not need all that much in terms of PC Resources.  You will want 2-3 USB2 or USB3 Ports, as BYN works best when the AutoGuider is connected to a separate USB2 Port than the DSLR.

But...

The deeper you delve into Astrophotography, the More Resources you WILL Need for AP Image Processing - Alignment / Stacking / Stretching / etc.

These Resources are not usually found in any but the Highest-End Laptops, but rather in Desktop/Workstation PCs.

AP Image Processing requires significant RAM - 8-16GB; and the Fastest HDD available - SSDs are much preferred.

With such resources, a good i5 or i7 CPU is called for as most Image Processing Software can make good use of 4+ Cores.

Again, all of these High-End Resources are called for by AP Imaging Program rather than BYN...
