T6i/750D Program Crash

I have been attempting to use BYEOS with my 700D which is now supported by BYEOS (Thanks for this!), however the program seems to crash unexpectedly.  After running it for a few minutes when I try to zoom in the view or click on other icons the program freezes first then windows shuts it down.

 

I'm running Windows 7

32GB RAM

Intel i7 Quad Core

(Trying to run PHD2 with it, but have not been able to get the programs to link yet)

 

Any ideas Guyroch?

Make sure that you provide Guylain with emailed copies of your BYE Logs (full log files, not just the screen captures) for the cases that you report.

Have you tried install again?

If you want help getting BYE to "link" with PHD2, you need to describe what you are doing and what you are seeing.

Thank you Guyroch!  Please forgive me, I have never used BYEOS before.  I figured if it was a known problem you would respond with this info.  It sounds like it is not.  How do I get the Log Files, and where do you want them?

As you can see the T6i is not responding to the 5X zoom command; it is complaining that the camera is busy

 

This seems like a bug.

 

If you stay away from the 5x option do you still have issues?  If not then that is the root cause.  Unfortunately I do not own a T6i so I'm unable to test and find out why

Oh, if you wait a few seconds, say 10 seconds, while in live view before activating 5x zoom does it still freeze?  If not then it is a timing issue and I may be able to fix it blindly without have a camera.

Honestly, Im not sure... 

 

I'll run some tests (hopefully tomorrow) just in the house to see if I can get it to follow a pattern.  I'll let you know what I find out.  So far I just havent had any time with it, as it went down very soon into my session.  Thanks for looking into it!  I'll be in touch.

I'm sorry that I have not followed up on this in quite a while.  I watched the entire youtube tutorial and have now used BYEOS with my 750D a half dozen times and it is working flawlessly.  I suspect that my initial problems were caused by my own unfamiliarity with the program.  Thanks!  Love the program!
