M200 capture error

todd.lomelino@gmail.com

Question

I'm new to BYE and excited to get this product working for my new M200 which I purchased to replace my son's T6i. I can connect and see all my camera parameters as well as live view but cannot snap an image in frame&focus or launch an imaging series. Hopefully this situation has a solution. I appreciate the help and eager to purchase and use. Sincerely, Todd

There is not a lot to go on in the log file.

2021-03-08 20:30:01,760 [OnStateEventHandler] DEBUG - StateEvent_CaptureError Fired! (inParameter=36107) err=(Capture Error: General camera error.)
2021-03-08 20:30:01,761 [CameraTakePictureOnMessageRecieved] DEBUG - Device Busy trying to start BULB sequence
2021-03-08 20:30:01,765 [OnStateEventHandler] INFO  - Capture Error: General camera error.

The camera instantly throws a generic "General camera error".

Do you have an SD card in the camera?  If not, is the camera set up to take pictures without an SD card?

Also, with the camera connected to BYE, if you press the physical shutter button on the camera... does the camera take a picture and if it does is it displayed in BYE?

Regards,

Well ... while the problem was occurring with and without a lens attached previously it looks like the suggestion of Astroman133 to Enable "Release shutter without lens" in custom function 5 (which I'm not sure I would have come a crossed buried as it is ) has done the trick!!!! After that one change I can't see any problems persisting on a capture bench test tonight! Excited to be a new BYE user!

As far as the questions above (hopefully a moot point now) SD card is installed. Yes the camera shutter works and pictures import to BYE when manually taken.

Thanks to you both. Appreciate the forum and definitely the product.

Todd
