Setting keep going back to default ?

explorer

Question

I have BYE premium, I've recently upgraded my pc and noticed that when I change any settings they don't save, ie: when I start up BYE again all the settings go back to default. ?

I've pressed apply and save ? Same result.

Is there something I'm missing here ?

Thanks

Tried the above ( I think 🙄 ), but no success. The rest of info in that link you provided went over my head. Its not a big deal to me at the moment, so I'll revisit it at a latter date. maybe the next update will resolve it.

I'm not on this forum often, so like to say the user interface of BYE is excellent,  and well done to all involved, thanks.

It my not be obvious from Guylain's screenshot above, but you need to make sure that you have the correct folder (the folder where the BYE 3.2 executables reside) and the correct Group (Users) to change its permissions to Full Control. I circled the folder name and the group in the modified screenshot below.

I doubt that rebooting the PC will fix this issue. For everyone else with this same issue changing the folder permissions has fixed it.

It is actually even easier to change the Night Vision button to Daytime mode and then restart BYE to see if you have fixed the issue.

33 minutes ago, explorer said:

No ... restart didn't help.

bye the way , the only setting I'm changing is in general tab, of white to pale green as a test.

Even though mirror lock settings revert as well..

It's an all or nothing setting save/denied, so this applies to all settings.

If all else fail, try uninstalling BYE, then re-install in a separate/different folder.

Oops, sorry. I thought that the original screenshot was from Guylain.

One other issue could be if you installed BYE as a different user than you are using when you run it. There are other folders that your user needs access to. They are under your user account and have not been an issue for other users.

Yes, Ireland is 7 hours ahead of US Mountain Standard Time, where I live.
