Canon 600D not connecting

Question

My Canon 600D has worked with BYE for years. Now stopped connecting, but I can still download files via file manager. System works fine with 1100D and on another computer. Removed all Canon software but still connection.

Any help would be grateful.

I can see the camera it is indicated in device manger as Canon 660D and download files fine. When running BYE it says to check EOS utility is not running, I have removed all Canon software as a trial, no difference. But it all used to work fine for years.

That was the file I found in "My Pictures\BackyardTEMP\logs". I have found that no log file is produced when trying to run and connect to the 600D. If I connect to the 1100D camera a logfile is produced

The logs are produced at application startup, even before you attempt to connect the camera.

Go to Settings and verify that you have the correct log folder. Also, in case this is a Windows permission issue with access to the log folder, it might be a good idea to delete the BackyardTEMP folder and than start BackyardEOS gain, it will recreate the BackyardTEMP folder and if this was a permission issue that should fix it.

I got you new log file.  Nothing in them that can shed some light on the root cause.

Please try connecting your camera with the Canon EOS Utility software. 

Also, perhaps performing a factory reset on the camera may work in the event some in-camera setting was changed and is cause it not to connect anymore.
