Upgrade to BYEOS Version 3.1.18 Appears Unsuccessful

gregvaughn

Question

Need help in properly installing/running BYEOS.

I was updating my Backyard EOS Premium from 3.1 to 3.1.18 and when I opened it it was in night vision mode and wouldn't switch to daytime mode (appeared to switch and then immediately switched back).  When I clicked settings, I got an error dialog box that said there was an unhandled exception and I could try to continue or quit.   When I tried to continue, everything seemed to be frozen.  I had the same issue with Camera 2.

I have both EOS and Nikon and Nikon seemed to update and run without issues.

Any ideas?  Assistance appreciated.

Cheers,

Greg

Yes, had the same problem.  Uninstall the previous version and delete the old folder in \Program Files, there's some stuff left behind. Worked fine second time around, also it remembers your key.

Be real careful:  Delete the Subdirectory related to BackyardEOS found INSIDE \Program Files - DO NOT Delete the \Program Files Directory.
