Value Out Of Bounds Error

BYN has been working great with my newly Astro modded D5300 for over a month. Last night when I connected my D5300, I was able to do Previews, but when I go to start an image session, whether saving to Camera or PC, I get the following error:

I've re-booted the computer several times, but still keep getting same error.

Factory Reset worked for both camera's. Thanks. Not sure why it was needed for both, but am thankful it worked. Appreciate the quick responses.

Please provide information about your setup.

Which version of BYN?
What capture plan settings?
What shooting mode is selected on the camera?

Manual Mode for Camera

Capture Plan 2 images in BULB for 5 sec each

Tried both Save to Camera (it has a card in it) and Save to PC. Get same error.

Camera by itself can take pic's and save them to the card.

Also connected my D810 which uses a different cable and has worked in the past. Get the same error message. I've shutdown my laptop, pulled the battery, but still the same problem.

Just tried my D810 with 2.0.7 and still get the following:

Also have BYN version 2.0.1 on another laptop. Just tried D810 with that laptop, which used to work and get the same error message after the 5 sec's expire for the first image.

Is the camera in Manual mode?

Others who have had a similar issue have solved it by resetting the camera to its factory defaults.

From the image your dial is set to manual and you shutter speed is set to 1/100, not BULB.  Do these cameras have a BULB dial mode separate from M?  If yes this is probably why.

Keep us posted.  This seems to be a dial mode issue.

Verified the camera is now in bulb mode. Still see same issue. I just installed BYN and .Net 3.5 into my brand new desktop computer for first time ever. I connected my D810, powered on in Manual Bulb mode and same exact problem except it didn't even go the 5 sec for the first picture and now it won't do preview mode either.

Try a factory reset on the camera as astroman133 suggested.  This has solve several issues in the past where unknown camera settings prevented normal operation.

Then send the full log file.

Oh, I see you have a lens.  Is auto focus on?  If yes turn it off ans see if this makes a difference.

I put the switch on the camera into manual mode and the switch on the lens into manual mode. Same error.

I'm in Single frame mode, electronic front curtain and shutter delay are both off as well. I can select Frame and Focus and that looks to be working normally. Just can't do Preview or Start Capture when in Imaging mode.
