I am new to this program; are there tutorials detailing use, especially specifics on planetary and dsos?

There is a Help File which installs with BYE, and is accessible via the "?" icon in the upper right corner of the App.

 

Admittedly, the Help Files are still a Work-in-Progress.  But have you read through it yet ??

There are a number of YouTube videos out there that will help you get the feel of things.  Forest Tanaka has a good one, plus there are others.

Good news guys, I'm almost done bringing the user guide up to par with V3.  As soon as I release BackyardNIKON I should be able to release BackyardEOS 3.1 a few weeks later... and 3.1 will have a new up to date manual.
