1.0.5 Not working with D5100

ChrisMoses

Question

Hi,

I just thought I would let everyone know of a problem I encountered - apparently (at least on my machine) V1.0.5 will not connect to my D5100. V1.0.4 works just fine.

If anyone has a solution to this, please let me know.

If you, guyroch, would like me to turn on the log4net logging and send you the results, just let me know.  Also, please let me know where the log files are saved.

This is the first report that the new SDK files are not working with a specific model.

The D5100 uses the Nikon Type005 sdk files.

If you copy the files from the install folder .../Nikon/type005/*.* from the 1.0.4 installation into the same folder of 1.0.5 installation does it 1.0.5 connect.

If you copy them from 1.0.5 into 1.0.4 does 1.0.4 still connect?

Keep us posted please.

I tried restarting the camera and rebooting the computer multiple time. No luck.

Next I uninstalled BYN, rebooted and installed 1.05. It worked right away.

In terms of D5100 firmware - I have never done anything to it.  It is whatever version came with it.

I'll test copying the sdk files and let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Thanks
