I lost my SSD drive that was the C drive in my laptop.  I replaced iot and was trying to reconstruct my needed programs and access to support for them.

I could not change my password for this account.  I used the guest feature then registered with a different user name.  After that i wasn't able to receive the email with the link to reset my password on this account.  Also I wasn't able to get access to my purchases.

I found a link to BYE on an old desk top and it connected.  After conversations with Guy a course of action was planned.

Guy deleted the new account which had the thread documenting my efforts to get back with this account.

This was one way to let him know I was able to reset this password and back in business using this account.

I was able to change my other email which has become less reliable after getting the password changed.

it was a bit frustrating but in the end no big deal.

Ron

Well, I don't delete accounts often, I think this is the second one in 12 years. I didn't realize when I deleted the account that the thread would also be deleted. I thought it would remain in the forum with perhaps 'anonymous' but it looks like deleting an account also deletes the posts from that account - makes sense - and there was probably a warning, I just did it so fast I most likely just clicked over it :(
