BYE Images not Saving to PC (Canon EOS 450D)

D1210838

Question

When taking photos with Backyard EOS (BYE) with my Canon Rebel EOS 450D EF, it won't save or download images to any folder I allocate on my PC. I can see the images on the screen once the program processes it on BYE from the camera.

I am taking the images under Frame and Focus, can it save under this mode or only under Planetary?

In Frame & Focus the LiveView frames are only displayed on the screen. Since this function is designed to assist with centering the camera on your desired field-of-view and adjusting focus these images are not saved to your hard drive. If you click the Snap Image button, a single JPG image is saved in your designated Download folder.

Planetary imaging collects the individual LiveView JPG images and when a sequence is finished assembles them into an AVI file and may delete the JPG files, depending on your choice in the Save To dropdown list.

Save To options:

AVI - only an AVI file remains after a Planetary imaging sequence is complete
JPG - only the individual JPG files remain after a Planetary imaging sequence is complete
AVI+JPG - both the individual JPG images and the AVI created from the JPG images are saved after a sequence is complete.

I hope this helps.

There is nothing in these log files, not even an attempt to connect the camera.

Please send a log file where you actually attempted to take pictures where they are displayed on screen and when you say they are not downloaded. I do not the background worker log file, just the regular ones.
