Nikon D3 and DSUSB error

hxpi

Question

I am getting the following error in BYN: "The given key was not present in the dictionary" followed by "Imaging session cancelled"

I am not able to take a continuous series of images in bulb mode using the DSUSB.  Sometimes it will give the error "DSUSB cable error: Unable to open shutter!". In either case, it usually cancels after 1 or 2 shots.

There is something wrong with either the DSUSB or BYN. The BYN Test Cable function seems to work with the DSUSB. The DSUSB test app shows everything working fine.

Can anyone assist with this?

Thanks.

Mel

I would suggest re-installing BYN to a different directory and then try running the new installation.

Are you sure that the DSUSB cable is correctly connected and working?

Also, if you look at the camera support grid for BYN, it says that the BYN has never been tested with a D3.  I am sure that Guylain will chime in tomorrow.

Thanks. Yes everything is connected correctly. I just tested the DSUSB and Nikon D3 with Stark Labs DSLR Shutter and everything worked perfectly, even mirror lock up! I'll wait to hear from Guylain before reinstalling.

Reinstall, then send me the log file is you still have the error.

Towards the end of the pulldown, there is another DSUSB-D40 option, try that one.

Keep use posted.

It's still not working! I sent you a PM.

Thanks.
