It's all self-serve.

1) Go to the store and add the free trial in your cart and proceed to checkout.

2) Go to the download page and download the latest version

3) Install and use your key from step #1 (available here 24/7 under "My Purchases -> Orders"

You should also be aware that using BYE with a Trial license requires an Internet connection when BYE is started. This allows the software to verify that the Trial license is still valid. Still, you should be able to do the vast majority of your testing and familiarization of BYE with a lens on the camera and the camera and laptop set up at the kitchen table. Other things that you need to know...

  • That a paid permanent license does not need an internet connection, but you should still keep your O'Telescope username, password, and license key on your imaging laptop but separately from the BYE app in case you need to re-install BYE when you are out in the field.
  • You need to confirm that BYE supports your camera and what, if any restrictions there are. Click on Supported Cameras at the bottom of this page for a list.
  • Never, never post your license key, or share the license key, on this forum or in any other public place. To do so can cause your key to be de-activated and you to be banned from this site.
  • Whenever you report an issue in this Support Forum, always include the full version of the software (like 3.2.2) and your camera model in the description of your issue.
