EOS RP Camera Settings

harryg63

Question

Can anyone help me, what are the proper internal camera settings in order to shoot through my telescope?

I can not get my EOS RP to work when connecting it to a T Adapter.  I am unable to take a picture, the shutter will not release.

Internal Auto Focus is off, I am trying to shoot RAW.  I tried the Manual and Bulb priority modes.

Any insight would be very appreciated.

Thanks!

Thank you both for responding.

I was able to find the "Enable Release Shutter w/o Lens setting.  Wow, it should not have been that difficult.   First I had to go into the Custom Menu Settings and enable "C.FIII" then figure out that to find the proper setting you scroll left-right and not up and down within "C.FIII".

Thanks again.  I just received a brand new William Optics FloroStar 91.  I was hoping to use my RP for a while before dropping $$$$ into a dedicated astronomy camera.  I was beginning to worry that was a flawed plan.  The RP has been out there for over 2 years, I was surprised that I could not seem to find anything out there on this problem.

You guys saved me time and frustration.

Thanks!
