Purchased Classic Version

Just purchased the classic version......the PHD and Telescope options are missing, everything was there for the trial version. Comparison chart shows both being available for the classic version. Got to admit the installation process has been a bit confusing.

No, telescope controls are ASCOM related and this is only available in the Premium version. This is clearly indicated in the camera support grid.

Not sure what you mean PHD is missing, that is in the Classic edition.

Scroll to the bottom of this page and click on Compare Editions underneath Backyard EOS.

You will some good news and some bad news.

1) Dithering with PHD2 is supported with both Classic and Premium editions

2) Telescope "nudge" control, indeed all ASCOM support for telescope, focuser, and filter wheel requires a Premium license.

Thinking that Telescope control is available in the Classic edition may be confusing, but has nothing to do with installation. It has to do with research and asking questions before making a purchase decision. The Compare Editions table clearly indicates that ASCOM control is NOt supported with a Classic license. This forum is the place to ask questions if you are confused.

If that capability is desired, you will need to pay a few $$ more, along with a small penalty, to upgrade your Classic license to Premium.

Where is the PHD button? It was visible in the trial version.

It  is called Dither. It was changed when BYE was enhanced to also support other Dither providers.
