D5300 works with older laptop (windows 10 home) but not with fanless PC (Windows 10 Pro N)

Question

Title says most of problem. I have tried the two alongside each other and fanless PC sees D5300 but says it can't find a driver. Using same cable as with older laptop. tried all (2 USB 3, 2 USB 2) usb ports.

Laptop shows  D5300 as "portable device", fanless PC shows it as USB device. Loaded Media pack for N and NK, to no avail. Tried last August version of BYN, and current (March 2021 version) Error MS below:

15:49:51  BackyardNIKON 2.0.11 Premium Edition
15:50:05  Attempting to connect camera...
15:50:05  Nikon/D5300 drivers initialized.
15:50:13  Camera Not Found!  Make sure it's connected to the PC and turned ON :) I have attached latest logfile text

I don't even want to count the number of tries I've made :). Good thing I'm retired.

What do you mean can't find the driver but can see the camera?  That is not possible, it is seeing the camera then the driver is there.

Please download the latest release and try again.  The version you have is almost 1.5 year old.

Updated BYN, No luck in connecting with known good cable. Have disconnected all other USB devices. Cable/camera connect fine on other

Reinstalled Windows 10 Pro on fanless  PC and after reloading BYN (several downloads as Windows Edge kept "

condemning the files as "unsafe", Chrome downloaded them and it was installed and working first try. Here is a snip of the 733291351_ScreencaptureBYN1.PNG.1b093c10d76644c4a82d8aefd8f62299.PNG

I am going to assume that he means that he installed BYN and was able to launch it. I don't know how it could connect with his camera if Windows does not correctly recognize it.

The following article from the Nikon Support web site may be useful -> https://www.nikonimgsupport.com/eu/BV_article?articleNo=000006488&configured=1&lang=en_GB.
