Unable to login to BYN

Question

Hello team,

 

I am unable to login to BYN. I was just about to start a capture session and it seems you have disabled my account despite being on a premium license.

Its a clear night outside and I am unable to start BYN.

Kindly assist as soon as possible.

I am still getting the same error. I have only 1 key and that is the premium key.

I have been using BYN for the last few nights like a charm and without any issues. Yesterday, out of nowhere, i got the error prompt.

I am able to login to the BYN app in my MAC Vmware Fusion windows machine, but the same does not work in my windows laptop.

If you have deactivated my key just bcoz I am using it on 2 pc's its a pity. All top applications like sequence generator pro, pixinsight, APT gives license to atleast 3 pc's.

You need to be able to install the app on 2 pc's, one for outdoor use and one for indoor. Even if are a astrophotographer you know why it is so important.

I think you have blocked my app access for this very reason.

Please address this issue at the earliest.

First, BYN does not limit to 3 PC's like the other software products you mentioned; so let's get this off the table right from the get go. BYE is more generous because there is no such limit.

I DID not block you app.... and the licensing server still shows your premium key as active... the application server is NOT preventing your key to validate.  The issue is elsewhere.  In fact, the request to validate the key does not even make to the server, there is no evidence of this in the server log files.

What version of BYE so you use? Please try 3.2.2.RC3.

I did just install the latest version i.e v2.1.1. Its working now.

It is strange that same version of BYN was running on my mac vm but not running on the windows laptop yesterday. Even now, I checked it and I was unable to login to the windows laptop. Everything was running till the day before.

Yesterday, I did use APT for the session but I had to do all the dither calculations and set all the PHD2 settings.

Your post is a bit misleading. It is not about logging in. BYN does not log in to a server, once you have a permanent, purchased Classic or Premium key.

As the message box says, the error is a "License validation error". This means that the license information stored on the PC is invalid. Perhaps it has become corrupted. If you re-enter your valid license key and identifier (the username of the account used to get the key) it should be fine. I will also say that the license key may be valid, but the Identifier is not. In that case you should not need to enter the key, just type in your username into the Identifier field. Make sure that it exactly matches your username, include character casing.
