Repeated validation

Question

Hi all,

My first post and just purchased EOS premium.  Very impressed so far. 

I am getting repeated requests to validate when I am opening up EOS.  This doesn't happen every time but every 2nd or third (not consistent).  Is this normal behaviour after purchasing?

When you ask for help on a problem it is important for us to know about your environment. Important things to know:

  • What version of BYE are you running (the 3-part number, like 3.2.0, not your license type)
  • What model of camera are you using
  • How the camera is cabled to the PC
  • If using a Mac with Parallels, or the like, this is also important.

We are not looking over your shoulder, so the more info that you provide the easier it will be for us to help you troubleshoot what is happing.

Hi all,

Many thanks for the response and apologies for the lack of info.  It is Backyard EOS and my setup is as follows:

1.  BYE version 3.2.1 premium

2.  Canon EOS 70D

3.  Camera connected via USB cable

4.  Laptop is ASUS running windows 10

5.  When this happens, I just need my identifier, not the full key.  I did start with the trial version and was getting the same and thought this was normal for the trial (but perhaps not).  I upgraded from the trial to the premium version by adding the purchased key into the installed trial version.

6.  Software is running on a physical machine (nothing virtual).
