Is there a mirror lockup feature on Classic?

ivarhusa

Question

New user.  I see in the UserGuide (Pg 40) that there is a "mirror lock (optional) ", feature but find no reference to it in the Capture Plan Center. I have DIGIC 5 and 6 cameras.

In other places references have been made to 'available in Premium' for features such as spot histograms.  Is mirror lockup a premium feature?

I see on page 39 that it should appear after "Save To".  Not in mine.

Thanks.

That feature is not disabled by default.  Go to settings -> advance settings and enable it to see the field in the capture plan.

However, mirror lock is overrated.  It's one of those things that people think they need because to makes sense, right?  The truth is is does not matter on long exposure because any vibration (if any) will be washed out after a few seconds of exposure and since we do several minutes per exposures it is irrelevent.

Regards,
