License

Question

I purchased a license for BackyardEOS on August 6th, 2011. I haven't been doing anything with it since that year, as other aspects of life intruded. Now in my retirement, I've been thinking of getting started where I left off, but I don't seem to have any record of my registration key. I can, however, provide detailed information about the circumstances surrounding the purchase to confirm that this is true - I just don't want to discuss it on an open forum for obvious reasons. Is there any way for me to recover my key?

With the original multi-line license, it was your responsibility as the licensee to keep a copy of it. A few years ago the authors created a new licensing scheme where they kept your license key on their servers, but you could access your licenses at any time simply by remembering your username on this site and logging in to view your purchase history and all licenses that were issued to you. The upgrade instructions that are available via a link at the bottom of this page tell you how to use your original license to get a new license, at no cost. However, you must have kept your original license. The authors changed the licensing scheme because they were spending a significant amount of time helping people recover lost licenses.

You may need to purchase a new license for BYE.
