I’m trying to connect my Nikon D600 to the backyard Nikon softwAre version 2.0.10.  I tried both versions of drivers.  I’m using the cameras WiFi to connect to my computer. But no success.  Any suggestions?

Wifi is not officially supported. Having said that, BYN does not really care if the connection is wired or WIFI. What matters is that Windows sees the camera.

Does it work wired?

I will get the USB cable and try it.  I was wondering if that might be the problem.  My computer recognizes the camera as it does connect to the cameras WiFi.

I tried connecting my D600 to my computer using the USB cord.  It is still not connecting.

Did you turn of WiFi in the camera?

I did.  I finally got it to connect.  It’s finicky and doesn’t always connect.  But most of the time it does.   I’m trying to learn how to use it.  When I snap an image the icon in the top right just spins.

Define snap an image. 

Where are you? In imaging mode? Frame and Focus?

Do you have a lens on the camera, just the body cap, or a telescope?

If a lens, you need to be sure that it is in manual focus mode. Depending on the view, it could be hung trying to focus before starting the image.
