What does this mean? it connects then disconnects.

You're using the wrong Canon SDK driver when connecting you camera to BYE.

You need choose "Canon", not "Canon210" when connecting your camera.  As per the instructions, Canon210 is for cameras that were generally built before 2008.  This is not the case with the 1000D-XS.

Hi!

I get the same error with my Canon 70D, when using the DIGIC 3/4/4 etc, that is, the upper button. Tried the lower to, didn't work either. I use Win 10. Is there as setting I am missing somewhere?

It's an install issue.  Please re-install in and you should be fine.

When you re-install BYE, be sure to install it in a different folder.
