Tried to download BackyardNikon beta at a friends and every copy had expired license and no reference to updating license.

Why so difficult?

All previous BETA have expired.  Use BETA 2e and you will be good until mid-October.

Also, if you install in a previous beta version folder, the old key will take over and will be expired.  For this reason you need to install each BETA in a separate folder.  This is by design as I want to force everyone to use the latest BETA as we get closer to a stable release candidate.

This is also mentioned on each BETA release/download announcement thread/post.

Hope this help,

A google search took me directly to beta 1c, can't seem to find the url for beta 2e

Would you mind replying with the link.

BTW seems I shot the sun with BYE about 1 hour after the M class solar flare 8/24, lots of high clouds, fair to poor seeing, first time out, no time to read docs.post-3225344-141893877281_thumb.jpgLove comprehensive/easy to use software
