Struggling to upgrade

kristov48

Question

Hi, I am trying to upgrade BYEOS from Classic to Premium but when checking out it says my coupon code is not valid.

1st line of license.

I did change my email address on my account as the old one is no longer in use.

My address has also changed.

Can you please advise what I should do to resolve problem.

Kind regards

Chris Mence

You're probably doing it wrong... but you did not say what is your current version you are trying to upgrade from... 2.x, 3.0.x, 3.1.x?  Without this I can't provide more detail instructions.   Once I know I'll be able to guide you through the process.

I am a BYE user, just like you. No, I have no use for your license key. Also, don't ever post your license key, either the old one or a new one, on this forum.

Guylain may ask for it, but via a private message or email.

Copy/paste should be more reliable than manual typing, as long as you copy the entire line.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean when you say "The key is confirmed each time I boot BYE." I thought your issue was with getting the web site to except the first line of your old license as a coupon code.

Which version of BYE are you running? The old version or the new version?

Do you mean that you must re-validate the license each time you launch BYE?

If that is the issue, Guylain may have a fix...The license file for BYE 3.1 may be corrupt. You should be able to delete it and re-create it one time to fix. Guylain will be able to provide more detailed instructions.

At first copy/paste but then by hand.

Should I tell you the coupon code?

Chris

Don't paste your code here.  Send me your full 3.0.x key to support@otelescope.com and I'll take a look.

Thanks Astroman133,

No, I don’t have to revalidate the code just that it seems to confirm the code as being correct.

As requested by him I have sent Guylain the version and code.

In the meantime thanks for your help.

Chris Mence
