Installing on a new laptop

Hi,

How do i install (Canon) BYEOS on a new laptop?

I forget my username and password.

I do have the v3 Premium Edition License Key, name and email address.

Follow the link in the previous post to the BYE Product Page. Click on the Upgrade tab below the 3 large license buttons. Find the instructions that are appropriate for the version of BYE that you are upgrading from and click on that link to see the upgrade details. Follow the displayed steps to purchase a new license.

Note if you are upgrading from 3.0 Classic to 3.1 Classic or 3.0 Premium to 3.1 Premium the cost is $0, but you still need to go through the purchase process to get a new license. That license will be maintained on the OTelescope web site, so you no longer have to safeguard the license yourself. It is always available on this site in the My Purchases area after you have logged on.

To validate the BYE license on another PC you need to come to this web site and log in with the same account that you used to purchase BYE. Then scroll the page to the top and click on your username in the upper right and select My Purchases from the dropdown menu. This shows your licenses, probably both the Trial license and the Premium License. You need to enter the license key and identifier (your username "Robhor"). Be sure to type the first letter in uppercase. To avoid typos in entering the license key, you should use copy/paste to transfer it into the BYE license validation dialog.

Hi,

You need to be more specific, v3 is not sufficient.

Do you have 3.0.x or 3.1.x?  It makes a difference.

If you have 3.0.1 you may not even have an account.  Please follow the upgrade instructions here.
