BYE 3.1.6 and Canon 6D MKII "hangs"

Hello - I have a new 6D MKII (FW 1.0.2) and BYE 3.1.16 - it "hangs" when trying to do the capture but works fine with my 70D.

Symptom - it will open the shutter, count down the exposure and then when the timer is up, the shutter does NOT close and BYE stays at "BUSY".  Eventually the shutter closes and then I get the "tone" that the camera is disconnected after another 30 seconds.

I then have to force-close BYE.

If you are trying to use mirror lockup with the 6D Mk II  and BYE 3.1.16 then that is the cause of your issue. It does not work.

If it works fine without using mirror lock then you need to try BYE 3.1.17 RC2. It is available from the Downloads area (select pre-releases from the Categories menu on the right of the page). One of the enhancements is support for Mirror Lock for that camera.

Yep, looks like you have mirror lock enabled.  As astroman133 just said, try 3.1.17 RC2 form the download pre-release section; I fixed that last week.

Thanks - OK - it's "fixed" by updating the FW to 1.0.3 and installing BYE 3.1.17 RC2
