Question

Following the direction in the manual to set up Plate Solving with Astro Tortilla.

Start BackyardNIKON · Go to Settings. · In the "3rd party integration" section check "Enable 3rd party integration". · Restart BackyardNIKON. · Accept all Windows firewall warnings.

Am I correct that it should say check "Enable TCP Server"? That seems to be the only option.

Also, in Astrotortilla settings, there is no Backyard Nikon option, only BackyardEOS

Should I just use BackyardEOS?

thanks,

Malcolm

You are correct; you have found a typographical error in the manual. As shown by the screen shot just below the descriptive text, the relevant checkbox is labeled "Enable TCP Server".

BYN is derived from BYE and uses the same messaging protocol for 3rd party integration, so select BYE as the camera in AstroTortilla.
