B.Y.E. / install new computer

Lunar66Man

Question

How hard will it be to re-install my current version of BYE onto another laptop when I purchase it? , also how frequently do updates to the program come out, do we automatically get a notice to update, or do we need to purchase them  I currently have 3.1 and purchased it in November of 2016, any help with these couple questions would be very helpful.....

Log onto this site; download and run the setup program; copy/paste your existing license key from your "My Purchases" area on this web site; enter your username (case-sensitive) as the identifier, and you should be good to go.

The only caveat is that the DIGIC II cameras are no longer supported by Canon so there are no 64-bit system drivers for them, so if your old computer is 32-bit and the new computer is 64-bit then you will be unable to connect to the camera from the new computer. This is a Canon decision that O'Telescope can do nothing about.

Upgrades are generally free and are issued on an irregular basis. Typical reasons for a release are 1) support new cameras, 2) bug fixes, 3) new features.
