Initializing Image Capture

First time running BackyardNikon trial.  Do you have to have the camera attached to run. Hangs on initializing image capture without the camera attached.

Acronis True Image active protection was  the problem.  Fixed.  Thanks for the replies.

No, the camera does not need to be connected to start the app.

Please elaborate on hang?  Does it eventually start or is it just slow?

But, you should not be able to Select Image Capture until the camera is connected. If it works the same as BYE, the Image Capture button is labeled Preview when not connected. The Preview button with the Trial or Premium licenses gives you the ability to create and edit your capture plans offline, while not connected.

I think he meant during loading the splash screen goes into each mode initialization and I think this is what he was referring to.
