Canon M5 connection?

Hi just signed up this morning, and downloaded backyard EOS. Ihave version 3.1.16, which I presume is the latest ..

I can't connect my Canon M5, is it curremtly supported, and if not is intended to support it soon?

Up to this point Canon has chosen not to provide the capability for remote control of the mirrorless DSLR cameras. So even when Canon comes out with a new version of their SDK it may not support the M5. There is nothing that O'Telescope and the BYE developers can do. You are likely out of luck!

No plans, blame Canon.  They butchered the entire M lineup by removing tethered shotting capability on these models.  Not even EOS Utility can do it.
