Region of Interest (ROI)

Question

I use BYE to drive my Canon 700D DSLR camera.

Is there a way in BYE to select a smaller portion of the field-of-view - ie. a Region of Interest (ROI) - so as to increase download speed and thereby increase the frame rate which the camera can sustain indefinitely?

Regards: Paul

If you are concerned about Frame Rate, then you must be working with the Live-view Planetary Imaging feature of BYE - else you are concerned about a minor element of Long-Exposure Imaging.

For Live-view Planetary Imaging, BYE/BYN is already implementing an ROI element.  The Live-view Image Stream is limited to a 5x Live-view CROP of the overall Sensor Data.  The less-than stellar Frame Rate will be a combination of PC Resources and Canon SDK.
