Low Battery Alarm

I notice the default setting for the low battery alarm is set to -1 seconds. Silly question, but does this pertain to the life left in your camera battery or the life left on your laptop battery. And what setting do your recommend or do you use.

BYN does not try to estimate the life of the laptop battery. It gets the battery status from the camera and displays it in the Camera Information Center. I am not a Nikon user, so I don't know when the value updates but a value of -1% effectively disables BYN's ability to warn you when the battery is about to die.

The Default is for the Battery Warning to be OFF.  This is because several of the Canon and Nikon DSLRs don't have Battery Status Update support in the SDK, and because most 3rd-party Batteries lack the proper (proprietary) Chip that the Camera expects in order to communicate Battery Status.
