Connection problem EOS750D

roman.L1

Question

Hello,

I just downloaded backyardEOS, and tried to connect my EOS750D, but it doesn't work.

I just get the error message: "Camera not found! Make sure it's connected to the PC...."

My laptop settings: WIN10, 64Bit, no USB hub.

Can you please help me?

Thank you,

Greetings

Roman

Roman,

If you are using BYE 3.1.15 and selecting the Canon driver (not Canon210 or Canon215 driver) during connection then your issue is likely one of the following:

1) Camera not recognized by Windows; check for the camera in the Windows Device Manager after the camera has been plugged into the PC and powered on. If Windows doesn't see the camera then BYE cannot connect to it.

2) WiFi is enabled in the camera; a wired connection will not be active unless WiFi is disabled so you must dlsable the in-camera WiFi; The Canon SDK does not fully support a wireless connection, however some users have figured out a way to make it work. There is a post about how to try to use WiFi, but I could not find it. In any case, WiFi is slow enough that you will likely prefer a wired USB connection.

3) make sure that the camera is in the Manual shooting mode.
