Sometimes BYEOS doesn't download preview image

Jameedon

Question

I use BYEOS with my Canon T4i. For the first 10 months or so since I bought BYEOS, it worked great with no problems, but for the last month it will go on little spurts where it won't download short preview images to my computer. It will happen for usually 3 or 4 times in a row, consecutively back to back to back.. Usually it only happens when I'm taking a short exposure preview, like 10 seconds or less and it never happens when I'm capturing a RAW shot. I also use AstroTortilla and the same problem will sometimes happen when AT is controlling the camera, and when the image doesn't download AT displays an error message on the bottom bar. But to be clear, this problem happens the most when I'm just working in BYEOS and clicking on the Preview button. Also, my camera isn't losing its connection while all of this is going on. Does anyone know what's going on?

Send me the log files and I'll take a look.

What error is displayed in AT?

Do you get any error in BYE when it is unable to display the Snap image?

Is there any chance that you are running out of space on your hard drive?

There isn't any errors displayed up in the top left, everything seems normal except for that the preview image doesn't download.  Snap image is something different, thats in Frame and Focus and done in live view (which works fine for me but I don't have those snap images set to be downloaded), the previews I'm having problems with are when I click on the Preview button which is under the Imaging mode button.  And no, there isn't a chance my hard drive is full.  The problem doesn't happen every time, only some of the times I click on Preview.

I got the log file, the image simply does not load and therefor is not displayed; .net throws an error.  I'll keep you posted.

Regards.
