Cross-posting between English and Francais Forum Sections

Question

I find it refreshing to see an acknowledged French Language section, likely useful for most BYEOS users in Eastern Canada as well as many in Continental Europe.

Beyond simply some rehash of common support issues, I'd expect that a number of informative and unique discussion threads will occur in the French Support.

Unfortunately I'm an English speaker whose years of High School and University developed French Language Skills have seriously deteriorated to the point that I often need to resort to Google Translate in order to follow written conversations (and needed to be begged "En Anglais" by Francophone friends and business associates).

This raises the question of whether you have some vision for how to leverage the contributions posted in one language for use in the other ??  It would seem unlikely that the Search Indexer has a Language Agnostic capability - even though a number of Astronomic and Imaging and AP topics and components have keywords which are essentially Language Neutral.

I'll probably Browse the French Language section via Google Translate - at least until the novelty wears away.  But, I'd hate to miss out on interesting insights or novel solutions simply because of a Language Barrier.

Good question.  I have not plan to bridge issues from one to the other.  The questions raised in French are actually the same one raised in English.  I will let each grow on their own and overtime they will have the same flavors of thread I'm sure.
