Premium Edition Disconnected: Message 1502

Question

I just purchaised the Premium Eddition but when connecting my 760D the interface gives a message DISCONNECTED : 1502

In addition, the Frame&Focus Icon as well as Planetary, Driftalign, Start Capture, Loop icons are all dissfunctional.

Can anyone tell me what is this?

Hi Eyal,

Thank you for posting in the forum instead of private messages.

You get this because you did not connect your camera yet.  Make sure your camera is turned on and plugged to the computer using the USB cable and then click the "Connect" button in the upper left corner in BackyardEOS to connect your camera.  Once this is done you will have access to those buttons/features.

Please create a new post rather than piggyback your issue onto someone else's issue. Your problem is due to incorrect cabling. BYE cannot connect the camera via HDMI cables. It requires a USB cable to control the camera.

The HDMI connection is designed to display the same data that is sent to the LCD display on an external HDMI monitor. It is not for tethered control of the camera. You should read the Getting Started section of the BYE User Guide!
