BYE uses Canon-supplied software to communicate with, and control, the cameras. The software is called the Canon EOS Software Development Kit (SDK). This means that BYE can only support cameras that are supported by the latest North American release of the SDK. Canon does not announce when new versions of the SDK will be released, nor is there a mechanism to ask them about a release schedule.

 

So you can see Guylain first must wait for a new release of the SDK then he must test the new version of the SDK before releasing it for BYE customers.

 

I believe that the most recent version of the SDK was released about 10 months ago. I would expect a new SDK soon, but there is really no way of predicting when it will be available.

OK, I called Canon and they told me that 3.5 is the latest for USA and North America.  This is the developer's link:

I remember seeing a few weeks ago that it was 3.4, but it looks like they revamped the website.
