Upgrading from Classic to Premium BYE

tvhiggins

Question

I think I messed up, not realizing that one can upgrade from Classic to Premium BYE without having to buy the Premium version outright, which I did. Then, to add to my confusion, I didn't enter the new validation code for my Premium purchase, using (I think) the original validation code for the Classic version, instead. Now I've paid $50 for a Premium version that I can't install, and each installation attempt just reinstalls the Classic version.

How do I get out of this pickle? I'd rather not pay full price for the Premium version when I can and should be able to pay for an upgrade and install that. At the moment it would seem that I'm out $85 for a program that originally cost me $35 (BYE Classic).

Can I receive a refund and start over, or is there another, easier solution?

Thanks for your help...

For clarification for others who may read this thread. There is no difference between the Classic and Premium versions of the software except for the license key. You download the software and install a Trial license which activates the full functionality for the term of the trial (usually 30 days). Or you install a purchased Classic license which permanently activates some of the features (as listed in the Compare Editions table). Or you install a Premium license which permanently activates all of the features.

So to upgrade from BYE 3.1 Trial or Classic to BYE 3.1 Premium you do not need to download or install any new BYE/BYN software you only need to replace the existing license key (Trial or Classic) in your current 3.1 version of BYE with the new Premium license key.

License keys are not sent to you via email. Once you log onto the O'Telescope.com web site your license keys are available from the "My Purchases" button on the main site menu bar.

I hope this may help to clear up any confusion.
